Pulse Assist - B2B Animation
Pulse Assist is an innovative participant reporting software that streamlines data collection by replacing traditional paper forms. For this project, we created a dynamic and engaging 2D animation explainer video.
The video utilized playful and relatable characters to demonstrate how Pulse Assist simplifies reporting processes and enhances data usability. Our goal was to communicate the software's functionality in a visually captivating and accessible way, aligning with the client's mission to modernize data reporting systems.
This project highlights our ability to distill complex ideas into creative, impactful visuals for B2B audiences.
+ Storyboard
We began by understanding the client's vision and goals for the explainer video. Through collaborative discussions, we identified the key features of Pulse Assist to highlight and outlined the tone and style—fun, engaging, and informative. A concise and compelling script was crafted to explain how Pulse Assist simplifies participant reporting.
With the script finalized, we created a storyboard to visualize the flow of the video. Each frame represented a key moment, illustrating character actions, transitions, and the overall pacing. This step provided the client with a clear understanding of how the story would unfold.
+ Character Development
The character development process was integral to creating a cohesive and engaging animation for Pulse Assist. The new characters were inspired by Display Care Studio's existing web illustrations, ensuring alignment with their branding while adapting the designs to suit the animation medium.

+ Animatic
Next, we developed an animatic, a rough animation using the storyboard frames. The animatic established the timing and sequence of the video, ensuring smooth transitions and consistent pacing.
+ Styleframes
Styleframes were created to define the visual tone of the video. These included color schemes, environments, and character aesthetics. The styleframes helped ensure a cohesive look and feel, resonating with the client’s branding.
